Larry finally wins one ... "what do you mean its too late?" Albert beats out the first and second overall winners for second this week. Darrell and David (the overall winner and second place respectively) hang on for third and Tamara, after winning three weeks straight finally falters and takes fourth. Don't Stay tuned for more ... there ain't none!

Tamara kicks butt for the second week in a row. David and Albert manage a face saving second (yes, Albert made the pick deadline this week). Darrell (Mr. Slump) sinks to an all-time low with 40% and Larry gives Tamara third place overall with a lousy showing! Stay tuned for more...

Tamara Rises to the top and takes top honors this week. Darrell slips to second with a respectable 10 out of 14. David and Larry tie for third. Albert misses the pick deadline and gets a zero. Stay tuned for more...

A wild week where 7 games separate the best game-slinger vs. the worst. Darrell and David stay on top with an outstanding 80%. Albert does good with a 10/15 performance and pulls within 1 game of Larry. Larry does OK and keeps above .500. Tamara has a bad week and ties the all time low record. We are down to the stretch. Only five weeks remain in the regular season. Time to 'take no prisoners'. Stay tuned for more...

Ouch! A tough week for 'sure winners'. Also a tough week for our Showdown staff. After the carnage David stands as the weekly winner. Dallas wins; David wins ... scary. Darrell hits under the .500 mark for the first time this season, this sub-par display has allowed David to pull within 4 games of his overall lead. Will this contest go down to the wire? Tamara and Albert tie for third with a 6 of 15 showing. Larry sets a new low-percentage-record (33.3%) with a lousy 5 out of 14. Stay tuned for more...

Another tight week. Darrell and Tamara tie for first, David and Larry take second and Albert places third. Pittsburgh won, Seattle won, San Francisco won, New York Jets didn't play, and Dallas LOST! One team always has to lose and blow a perfect week! For the fifth week in a row David slips another game on the WARlord. Tamara's win this week allows her to sneak past Albert for fourth place. If David slides any lower he may become prey for Larry, Tamara, and Albert, they see him approaching and they are beginning to salivate. Red Tab Tally: 27 (Yes, 27 again!). Stay tuned for more...

A lousy week by all; however, Larry's week is not quite as lousy as everyone else as he manages to take first place. The win also propels him back into third place overall. Darrell comes in second, its been a while since he didn't at least tie for first, is the David slump catching on? David (i.e. Mr. Slip-sliding away) blows another game on Darrell and now trails the WARlord by 4 games. Albert and Tamara (who were among the winners last week) take a tumble and round out third place. Red Zone Tally: 10. Stay tuned for more...

A good week for everyone (except David) as four players tie for first place. Darrell, Albert, and Tamara come out on top for the second week in a row, they also welcome Larry to the top of the mountain. David turns in a respectable second (or last, depending on how you look at it), more importantly, however, David drops another game on Darrell. David now trails Darrell (the WARlord) by 3 games. David's Cowboys seem to be on the comeback, David ... well, he does NOT appear to be on a comeback. Red Zone Tally: 37. Stay tuned for more...

Week seven ends in an interesting three way tie for first place. Darrell (as usual) does not miss a beat and heads the list of week-seven-winners. Albert (remember him?) reveals himself once again and also leads the week-seven picks (if his team could have won Monday night he would have topped this week by 2 games). We welcome Tamara to the winners circle, She tastes victory for the first time, but when will her Jets taste victory? David takes second this week (i.e. fourth place). His only consolation was the Dallas victory and the Detroit loss. Larry anchors the week-seven results with a dismal 46%, will he give up his silly superstition and start picking his Pittsburgh Steelers? Overall, David drops another game down on Darrell (now he's two games behind) is this the beginning of the end? Albert climbs back into third place and the Tamara-Larry team tie for last place. Red Zone Tally: 29. Stay tuned for more...

A week of upsets on the field, but no upsets in the pick standings. Once again Darrell and David top this weeks pick list. The rich get richer and the poor ... well, you know the rest. Darrell wins yet another week and his Seahawks upset Miami (behind the arm of Idaho Alumnis John Freiz). David ties for first and stays one game behind in the overall standings. Darrell just can't seem to shake him (kind of like that gum that gets stuck on the bottom of your shoe). The rest of the pack have a decent day but its never seems to be enough. Tamara picks three upsets but only one comes true, Seattle-Miami; Denver-San Diego did looked promising until the fourth quarter. And once again they all miss out on the Pittsburgh win, tsk, tsk, tsk. Red Zone Tally: 27. Stay tuned for more...
Quote of the week - "Looks like I won't be picking the Jets for the next four weeks" - after NY Jets quarterback Neil O'Donnell separates a shoulder. Status: out four-to-six weeks (Tamara)

Darrell tops the weekly results again (this is starting to annoy me). Are plans for initiating a handicapping system for those in the 70.0% and greater club being formulated? David's Cowboys pull-off a miracle win at Philadelphia allowing him to stay one game behind Darrell. The Larry-Tamara team return once again and end up with a consistent 8 picks correct (but they can feel themselves slowly sinking into the NFL quagmire). Albert once again tempts the pick deadline and wins (his picks however ... don't come out as clean). Red Zone Tally: 21. Stay tuned for more...

David took a walk on the wild side last week and it paid off (somehow). If David would stop picking the Cowboys he would have a great win/loss percentage (some people just never learn). Larry finally had a decent week after a month of cellar dwelling; he even got Pittsburgh right this week (they didn't play). Darrell enters a slump this week after two impressive weeks, weeks 2 and 3 (is he burned out? Time will only tell). Tamara still maintains a consistent percentage after four weeks, will it be five? Albert (last weeks top picker) takes a nose dive, was it beginners luck last week?. Stay tuned for more...

Albert's first week, and what a week it was. Albert correctly picked 11 of 13 games. Rumors placing Albert as a ringer have been heard, but not confirmed. Darrell continues a blistering pace with 10 of 13 correct. David slips once again (yes he picked Dallas, again), but still gets the 3rd best score of the week. The Tamara-Larry team improve and finally reach the 60% mark, things are looking up for this couple. Stay tuned for more...

Darrell leaves the pack in the dust with an unbelievable percentage, picking 13 out of 15 correct. David eats some dust but still is able to muster a very respectable 12 out of 15, and his Dallas Cowboys win (are the Cowboys on there way back?). The Tamara-Larry team had a rough week, but at least they stayed above .500 (and Pittsburgh won, we won't mention the Jets). Once again Albert was a forgotten sole. Stay tuned for more...

A week of varied picks, but not varied results. Everybody won this week (and everybody lost). Dallas and Pittsburgh let everyone down by losing (You can blame the Pittsburgh loss on Larry - he picked them to win). Seattle did as most picked (not hoped). The only sure bet that came through was San Fransciso (and Albert didn't pick this week). The following decision was made among some of the duelists (who shall remain anonymous): this week has been declared NULL and VOID -Do not pass go, do not collect $200. This decision was questioned by some other duelists, but fortunately that dissension was ignored. Stay tuned for more...
