Your First Java Applet
Java 2 is an excellent programming language for learning how to program.
It is currently at version 1.3. It is freely distrbuted by sun microsystems in the form
of the the Java Developers Kit (JDK). You should download the JDK1.3 from java.sun.com
in order to complete this tutorial.
You can use an integrated developement environment(IDE) which can make the writing
and debugging part of programming easier. I recommend using Sun's JDK and
working from the DOS prompt. Install the JDK onto your computer.
Now, lets go to the 2ndcup and make the JDK easier to use from the DOS prompt.
